MANTARAY Water-Powered Standup Polisher/Rougher with Pump-Out Vacuum System is designed for indoor use and substantially reduces dust while using. The complete pump-out vacuum system comes with the handheld unit, polishing pump-out vacuum attachment, standup handle, and IPC Eagle GC 290-AD professional pump-out vacuum, with 20’ vacuum hose, and slurry bag. (The roughing pump-out vacuum attachment is sold separately on the MantaRay accessory page). The polishing unit is designed to be used with a 7” hook and loop disc and gives a wet polish up to .19 inches from a wall or corner. You can attach any 7” hook and loop polishing pad for the material you are working with. The polishing pump-out vacuum attachment is designed to be used only with polishing. Do not use the polishing pump-out vacuum attachment when roughing. Doing so will cause damage to the unit and will void the manufacturer’s warranty.

For roughing use, use only the MantaRay Roughing Pump-Out Vacuum Attachment (sold separately) and a diamond dot 30-150 7″ hook and loop pad, as seen on the MantaRay Accessories page. Do not use the polishing pump-out vacuum attachment when roughing. Doing so will cause damage and will void the manufacturer’s warranty. Do not use a heavy metal cup wheel when roughing. La Plata Industries, Inc. recommends that you do not polish while using the roughing pump-out vacuum attachment.  Only use a diamond dot 30-150 7” hook and loop roughing pad as seen on the MantaRay accessories page. La Plata Industries designed the indoor standup unit to rough using only with a 7” hook and loop disc or 7” hook and loop diamond dot roughing pad. La Plata Industries does not recommend using a heavy metal cup wheel when roughing as they are not compatible with the MantaRay Unit. Doing so will cause damage to the unit and will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
