The MANTARAY Water-Powered Cutter/Grinder is a hybrid system that cuts or grinds various materials such as granite, concrete, marble, natural stone, and steel.  The MantaRay unit utilizes a stream of water on a diamond blade or grinder cup wheel, which substantially reduces dust and heat while in use.  La Plata Industries, Inc. designed the cutter to be used with only 6” and 7” diamond blades and an adjustable pressure washer using a psi setting of 2500 – 3000 psi at 3.5 gpm. Do not use a higher psi setting while using the cutter.  Doing so may cause injury to you or damage to the unit and will void any manufacturer’s warranty.

 

For the MantaRay Grinder, La Plata Industries, Inc. recommends using only 3″ to 5“ lightweight cup wheels and an adjustable pressure washer using a psi setting of 4000 psi at 4 gpm.  The recommended lightweight cup wheels are available for purchase on the MantaRay Tools accessories page.

 

La Plata Industries, Inc. has designed the MantaRay Water-Powered Cutter/Grinder to be used with an IPC Eagle professional pump-out vacuum with a slurry bag and a 20-foot hose (length exclusive to MantaRay Tools customers).
